Online Eczema Consultations

Pattern-based Chinese medicine support for babies, children, and adults with chronic, recurring, or difficult-to-manage eczema.

If you or your child is struggling with red, itchy, irritated, dry, weepy, thickened, or reactive skin, this service is designed to help you look deeper than the surface of the skin.

Care is focused on Chinese medicine pattern assessment, individualized herbal support when appropriate, topical guidance, skin-care routine support, and practical steps for managing recurring eczema flares from home.

Eczema Consultation

Your consultation begins with a detailed review of your eczema history, flare patterns, skin appearance, triggers, sleep, digestion, stress, diet, current skin-care routine, and any treatments already being used.

You may also voluntarily provide photos of the skin so we can better understand the presentation and determine what type of Chinese medicine support may be appropriate.

Chinese Medicine Pattern Assessment

Chinese medicine does not treat every case of eczema as the same. Some people show more heat, redness, and irritation. Others show more dampness, weeping, crusting, dryness, thickening, sensitivity, or chronic reactivity.

The goal is to understand the pattern behind the skin so care is more specific than a one-size-fits-all eczema approach.

Herbal & Topical Support

For babies and toddlers, care may focus on gentle external herbal bath support. For older children and adults, care may include individualized Chinese herbal medicine, topical support, skin routine guidance, and follow-up care when appropriate.

Recommendations are based on age, skin presentation, health history, medications, safety considerations, and the Chinese medicine pattern being addressed.

What to Expect

After booking, you will complete an intake form about the eczema history, skin presentation, known triggers, digestion, sleep, stress, diet, skin-care products, current medical care, and previous treatments.

During the online consultation, we review the case through the lens of Chinese medicine and discuss what kind of support may be appropriate. Depending on age and presentation, this may include herbal bath guidance, individualized herbal care, topical support, skin routine recommendations, diet and lifestyle guidance, and follow-up planning.

Care for Babies, Children & Adults

For babies under 2, care is typically external and may center around gentle herbal bath support. Infants are not asked to take internal herbal formulas.

For children and adults, Chinese medicine care may include internal herbal formulas when appropriate, along with topical support, trigger awareness, skin-care guidance, and ongoing adjustment as the skin changes.

Safety Comes First

Chinese medicine support is complementary care and does not replace pediatric, dermatology, primary care, urgent care, or emergency medical treatment. Skin that appears infected, rapidly worsening, unusually painful, or severe should be evaluated by a medical provider.

Seek medical care for fever, rapidly spreading rash, blisters, yellow or honey-colored crusting, pus, swelling, warmth, unusual pain, poor feeding in an infant, lethargy, or sudden worsening symptoms.

We do not diagnose or treat skin cancer. Any suspicious, changing, bleeding, painful, irregular, or non-healing skin lesion should be evaluated promptly by a dermatologist or qualified medical physician.

Who This Service Is For

This service is designed for people seeking a more individualized Chinese medicine approach to eczema. It may be appropriate for baby eczema, children’s eczema, adult eczema, chronic recurring flares, dry or cracked skin, red and itchy eczema, weepy eczema, thickened skin, stress-reactive eczema, or eczema that improves temporarily and then returns.

The goal is to understand the pattern behind the skin irritation, support skin comfort, and help create a more consistent care routine over time.
